Golf Fundraising Events

Your golf outing can raise more than the entry fees

Registration for individuals and foursomes, a fundraising page for every golfer, sponsorship tiers people can buy from the site, and a live team leaderboard — all on one branded event site, with every dollar landing in the same donor records.

Free plan available. Paid plans from $100/mo.

From first foursome to final total

1

Build the event site

Give the outing a real home page instead of a PDF flyer.

Put the date, the course, the schedule, and your pricing on a branded event site you build yourself — no developer, no designer, and no waiting on a web queue. Add a countdown, a fundraising thermometer, and live donation counters so the page has something to say every time someone comes back to it.

2

Open registration for individuals and foursomes

Sell the way golfers actually sign up.

A golfer registering a full team should not have to fill the form out four times. Registration takes an individual or a whole foursome in one pass, copies the buyer’s details across the entries where it makes sense, and collects the extras you need — shirt sizes, meal choices, handicaps, cart preferences — with custom fields.

A CauseVox registration checkout open over a golf event site, with a Contact Information block for the person registering, a tickbox to copy those details to all registrations, and a Foursome section below holding four rows of first name, last name and email for the individual players
3

Turn every golfer into a fundraiser

This is where a golf outing stops being capped by the field size.

A tournament with 120 players has 120 people with employers, clients, and neighbors. Give each of them a personal fundraising page with a goal, a photo, and their own story — pre-filled from a template so setup takes minutes — and the outing raises money from people who were never going to play in it.

A golfer’s personal fundraising page on a golf event site, headed “Golfing for good!”, with a photograph of a golfer teeing off, a progress panel showing $700 raised of a $1,000 goal at 70 per cent alongside a donation count and days remaining, and a panel naming the team the golfer is fundraising for
4

Sell the sponsorships from the site

Sponsors are usually the biggest line on a golf event, and the worst-tracked.

Publish your tiers with what each one includes and what it costs, show the logos of the companies already in, and let a sponsor commit from the page instead of from an email thread. Everything sold shows up in the same totals as registrations and donations.

A Sponsorship Opportunities page on a golf event site showing a row of three sponsor company logos, then a Presenting Sponsor tier at $10,000 and a Platinum Sponsor tier at $7,500, each with a bulleted list of what the sponsor receives — logo placement on event materials, named recognition, and complimentary guest places
5

Let a leaderboard do the nagging

Friendly competition raises more than a reminder email.

Rank teams and individual golfers by what they have raised and put the board on the event site. Foursomes that would never open a fundraising appeal will absolutely check whether they are still ahead of the group from the next office.

A team leaderboard on a golf event site ranking four foursomes by amount raised, with a gold trophy beside first place and a silver beside second, each row showing the team name, a photo and the total raised
6

Send every gift to the right golfer

So a donor never has to know which page they were supposed to be on.

A donor who lands on the main event page can still pick the golfer or team they meant to support — they search by name and assign the gift. It counts toward that golfer’s goal, that team’s leaderboard position, and the event total, without anyone reassigning anything by hand afterwards. Fund designations work the same way when a gift needs to land against a specific program.

A “Designate a Page” panel on a golf event donation flow, inviting the donor to give to a specific personal page, with a search box for a fundraiser’s name and a list of golfers below, each with an Assign link beside their name
7

Close the event without a spreadsheet

The week after should not cost more than the day itself.

Registrations, sponsorships, and donations are already one set of records, so totals, reporting, and exports come out of the same place. Every player, sponsor, and donor lands in the donor CRM with what they gave, and built-in email means thank-yous and next year’s save-the-date go out without an export.

Common questions

Can golfers register as a foursome, or only individually?

Both. A golfer can register alone or buy a whole foursome in a single pass, entering each player’s details without repeating the shared information.

Do participants have to fundraise, or can they just pay to play?

Just paying to play is fine. Fundraising pages are an option you can offer at registration — golfers who want one get it, and the rest simply register.

Can we sell sponsorships through the site?

Yes. Publish your tiers with pricing and benefits, show the logos of sponsors already committed, and take the commitment from the page. Sponsorships report alongside registrations and donations.

Can a donor give to a specific golfer or team?

Yes. A donor on the main event page can search for the golfer or team by name and assign the gift, and it counts toward that page’s goal, the leaderboard, and the event total automatically.

Can we show a leaderboard?

Yes. Teams and individual golfers can both be ranked by amount raised, and the board sits on the event site so it updates in front of everyone.

What about cash and checks collected on the day?

Log them as offline gifts and they roll into the same totals, the same leaderboard, and the same donor records as everything given online.

Do we need a developer?

No. The event site, registration forms, and sponsor pages are all built with a drag-and-drop editor.

What does it cost?

There’s a free plan you can start on with no credit card, and paid plans start at $100/month with no commitment. See pricing for the details.
