Twitter can be a great resource for staying up to date on nonprofit news, marketing skills, and expert insights into the sector. You can also engage with nonprofit experts by tweeting them your questions or opinions, or joining in on Twitter chats.

Beth Kanter – @Kanter

With 39.1k tweets and 403k followers, Beth may just be the queen of nonprofits on Twitter. She runs a popular blog on how nonprofits can take advantage of social media, and co-authored the book “The Networked Nonprofit” which introduced a new way for nonprofits to work in an age of connected networks. She was named by Fast Company Magazine as one of the most influential women in technology.

Susan McPherson – @SusanMcP1

Susan is a communications consult focused on the intersection between brands and social good, and she’s an advisor, speaker, and blogger for many social good initiatives. As the founder of the bi-weekly #CSRchat, she was also named one of Fast Company’s 25 Smartest Women of Twitter.

Dan Pallotta – @DanPallotta

Dan invented the multi-day charitable event industry with the AIDS Rides and Breast Cancer 3-Days, which have raised hundreds of millions for charity. He is the author of “Uncharitable: How Restraints on Nonprofits Undermine Their Potential,” and his TED Talk is one of the top 50 most-viewed of all time. He also founded the Charity Defense Council, dedicated to changing the way the donating public thinks about charity.

Alice Korngold – @AliceKorngold

Alice is the author of “A Better World, Inc.:  How Companies Profit by Solving Global Problems…Where Governments Cannot” and “Leveraging Good Will: Strengthening Nonprofits by Engaging Businesses” and is the President of Korngold Consulting, which strengthens board governance and partnerships for nonprofits.

Nell Edgington – @NEdgington

Nell is the President of Social Velocity, where she consults nonprofits on their strategic plans, social impact, and sustainability and writes for the Social Velocity blog. She’s also an experienced and successful fundraiser.

Sasha Dichter – @SashaDichter

Sasha is the Chief Innovation Officer at Acumen Fund, which supports social entrepreneurs in developing countries. He blogs and speaks frequently about philanthropy, generosity, and social change. He’s also written a Manifesto for Nonprofit CEOs.

Anthony Bugg Levine – @ABLImpact

Antony is the CEO of Nonprofit Finance Fund, a financial intermediary that supports nonprofits with tailored investments and consulting.  He is the co-author of the book “Impact Investing: Transforming How We Make Money While Making a Difference” and was previously a Managing Director at the Rockefeller Foundation.
