Why Donation Tiers Are Needed

Fundraising online lets you reach a broad audience in a cost effective manner, but it can become impersonal. Many times, effective fundraising is driven by relationships and personal ownership.

One way we make online fundraising personal is through donation tiers. Why are these tiers needed? A couple of reasons:

1. It communicates the impact of the organization’s work — or at least the intended impact.
2. It gives the donor a better experience by helping them tangibly understand what their donation will do.
3. It helps organizations forecast fundraising results by providing a soft recommendation on how much donors should donate

The organization sets it up easily on their admin interface by adding/editing their tiers.

Click “Save” and it’s reflected on their donation lightbox when someone clicks “Donate”.

Easy-peasy. Try it on your campaign pages and fundraising efforts!
