NENSA

Summary

The New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) nearly doubled its annual fundraising goal in its first year fundraising online, generating $52,225.

About

The New England Nordic Ski Association is the Olympic development organization for cross-country skiing in New England as well as the umbrella for most of the organized Nordic skiing events in the region. NENSA hosts over 50 events and more than 20 clinics for skiers and coaches at venues across the Northeast.

Challenges / Problem

NENSA’s Annual Fund dates back to 1996. In prior years, the online presence fundraising campaign has been created and updated in-house, a time-consuming process for a very small development staff, including the executive director.

How CauseVox Helped

NENSA targeted key supporters within their community, and 10 people created fundraising pages, including an influential coach and an athlete who at the time had just been named to the U.S. Ski Team.

NENSA shared their story with current and potential supporters, posting a video to the CauseVox media platform, and used customization give their campaign and fundraising pages brand recognition through colors, logos and photos.

Their Results

By the end of their month-long campaign, NENSA raised over $50,000 through their personalized CauseVox fundraising site to support their ski programs for adults and children.

NENSA staff also say using the CauseVox fundraising platform freed up crucial time to focus on strategy and spreading the message through email, social media, and video.
