Founded in 2001, Grey2K USA Worldwide is the largest greyhound protection organization in the world. Advocating for the dogs in commercial dog racing, Grey2K partners with lawmakers for stronger greyhound protection laws and works toward limiting the growth of race tracks. Grey2K also promotes the rescue and adoption of greyhounds.
With CauseVox, Grey2K exceeded their goal for their GivingTuesday 2014 campaign. In mere hours, they approached their $5,000 goal. So, they raised the bar to $10,000!
The Grey2K team may be small, but they have had significant victories against dog racing. They had secured a major donor to match the fund raised in their GivingTuesday campaign. However, the match only works if they were able to secure support from individual donors. To make this GivingTuesday campaign a success, they needed a way to maximize their efforts on this one day.
How CauseVox Helped
Danielle Festa, Director of Communications, was looking for a platform that would represent Grey2K properly to donors. The campaign was such a success that Grey2K is organizing an individual fundraising campaign with “run in your own community” races, utilizing CauseVox as the fundraising platform.
