How Well Aware raised $77,000 in one week to provide clean water to 40,000 people
Shower Strike is a week-long fundraising campaign that rallied volunteers to hold a strike against showering to raise funds for clean water in East Africa. CauseVox enabled Shower Strike to create a fundraising site that featured corporate sponsors, allowed their volunteers to have share their story, and utilized social media. In years past, the campaign raised $25,000 on average. This year, Shower Strike was able to raise over $77,000.

To feature corporate sponsors, campaign organizers included their sponsor’s logo into the fundraising site background. Organizers could easily refresh their background with new images by easily uploading it into CauseVox.

Social Media Integration

CauseVox automatically integrated Twitter and Facebook buttons into the Shower Strike site. These tools encouraged visitors to share their fundraising site with their personal networks.

Custom Domain

Shower Strike intends to be a yearly campaign. CauseVox made it possible to have incorporate a custom domain name which was memorable, clear, and not branded with “CauseVox”.
