10 Principles of Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

We presented at Non-Profit Technology Conference in Washington DC last week about peer-to-peer fundraising. Peer-to-peer fundraising is basically a method of fundraising that gets your supporters to fundraise through their personal networks. It’s the non-profit version of crowd-funding, and a part of what we offer here at CauseVox.

New Editor – Now With Background Upload!

Last week, Erika Johansson invited us to give a demo at Purpose. It was really fun, and we ended up making a demo campaign for All Out in 10 minutes. Here is the result.

You can see that the campaign site we whipped up looks pretty similar to the All Out website. One big thing that was missing was the ability to upload a background image.

I’m happy to announce that now we have the ability to include background images. You can easily do that via the on-screen live editor.

Distinct and Impressionable

Organizations are formed because of an idea — fight poverty, feed the hungry, advocate for human rights, or many other ideas. The visual design of your brand represents the idea behind your organization. It’s how your audience understands your organization.

Generally, there are two elements that are important to visual branding – it has to be intrinsically striking and impressionable.

Intrinsically striking means that it has to be distinct with its combination of name, typography, logo, slogans, etc. The idea behind your organization should be expressed effectively.
